Suzanne Axel is a Senior Associate for the Law Offices of Brian J. Neary.  Ms. Axel joined the law firm in 2014 and has over ten years of experience specializing as a criminal defense attorney.  Ms. Axel graduated from Rutgers Law School in 2012, during which she served as a mentor and leader for other law students wishing to pursue careers in criminal defense.  After graduating law school, Ms. Axel served a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Peter V. Ryan, J.S.C. in Essex County’s criminal division.  Since graduating from law school in 2012, Ms. Axel has represented clients charged with criminal offenses in State, Federal, and Municipal Courts in New Jersey.  She has successfully represented clients charged with various offenses, including murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, sexual assault, drug offenses, and driving while intoxicated.  Ms. Axel is known as a compassionate and relentless advocate who thoughtfully pursues every avenue of defense to ensure the highest quality representation.

Throughout her career, Ms. Axel has been recognized as one of the leading up and coming criminal defense attorneys. She was selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2018 and 2019.
